Me and my wife were working in AZ, we have 3 small children. My wife's job in AZ was not going well. She took another offer in CA. I had to follow her for the family/children hoping to find a job in CA. However, as of now it is not happening. Can I apply for unemployment benefit. Can I mention the 'reason for unemployment' as QUIT to join spouse who had employment in another state? Please advice

What was the reason your wife is relocating? Some states (Pennsylvania unemployment agency allows that) let you collect UI if your wife is relocating because she could not find a job or was fired. I am not entirely sure but I am thinking your state must have similar rules as well. If you dig deep into your states website, you might find out. Or call them. Hope it helps

The rules of different states are different. You first need to find out whether it is legal in the state you are in to do so !

So I lived in Texas for over a year and had to leave and come home back to florida. I want to file for unemployment but am not sure of a good enough reason to say why I left to come home. Can anyone help me come up with a reason? I know were all in the same boat and hopefully someone can help me!
