Default Frustrated!!

Why don't companies have an automated email confirmation set up? I have sent out so many resumes, but I receive very few confirmations to let me know that they even received my resume. Is anyone else having this problem??

Default You can derive that info

Not everyone would respond but if you don't get delivery failure email, doesn't it mean they have received your resume?

How about look at this from a different perspective, Why not use this as a foot in the door and call the HR dept. and ask them to confirm the reciept of the resume and if they have any questions about it?

The way I see it is if the person on the other end put a voice to the resume you have a better chance. Its just human nature. So talk to them and possible even follow it up with a thank you card for letting you submit your resume, Just some food for thought.

Hope this helps.

Just submitting the resume will not do. Follow up is very important in such cases.
